We seek to hire thoughtful, caring, and forward-thinking people who will inspire, collaborate, and strive to achieve our fundamental cause do all the good we can.OUR OPPORTUNITYThe Development team drives new business opportunities for the company and its various hotel brands, through relationships with owners, developers and other external groups as well as working closely with key internal stakeholders.What will I be doing?The Development Analyst will report to the Development Manager at SH Group and will be responsible for completing underwriting on new opportunities. This primary job function requires the ability to assess a hotel market and submarkets from the perspective of a hotel operator, and to generate financial projections including comprehensive returns analysis and management fee valuations.In this role, the candidate will interact regularly with the Chief Development Officer and other key leadership, as well as business partners in Legal, Design, Marketing, Revenue Management and Finance. Given the nature of the role, the candidate will need to be a self-starter that possesses excellent interpersonal skills and takes initiative.More specifically, you will:Produce market research with keen insights on location, supply/demand and current trends.Generate hotel profit and loss projections and a complete return on investment analysis.Regularly update brand presentations and put together comprehensive pitch decks for competitive RFP processes.Organize internal performance metrics and resources efficiently, and leverage third parties to procure market data as required.Compose emails, memos and internal reports for deal approvals and leadership updates.What are we looking for?We believe success in this role will be achieved by a dynamic and positive individual, who possesses the following skills:Organized critical thinker who possesses strong analytical skills, including thorough analysis of financial documents and a review of real estate valuation models.Persuasive communicator who can clearly share a point of view and positively influence a discussion with internal and external parties.Collaborative and personable, with ability to show flexibility and adapt when taking direction.Self-starter who takes initiative in implementing goals and effectively handling concurrent demands.Hard worker who possesses a demonstrated history of strong academic performance.To fulfill this role successfully, you must possess the following minimum qualifications and experience:BA/BS Bachelor's DegreeExperience in hotel real estate or an equivalent analytical fieldExperience in hotel operations is preferredUnderstanding of return on investment and valuation conceptsCompetent computer skills with proficiency in Excel and PowerPointTravel less than 25% of the time#J-18808-Ljbffr
