Entry-Level Engineer - Borger, TX

The successful candidate will join our Petroleum and Petrochemical Business Unit to support projects in Borger, TX, and assist in providing clients with effective, responsive, and safe solutions. Required Qualifications
  • 0-3+ years of relevant experience
  • A bachelor's degree in engineering, environmental engineering, environmental sciences, or related fields
  • Willingness to obtain professional licensure/certification (e.g., PG, PE, CHMM, or similar)
  • Ability to communicate effectively with clients and project team members verbally and in writing
  • Commitment to safe work practices
  • Initiative and motivation, with an emphasis on completing project deliverables on schedule
  • Dependable, with the ability to work independently and within a team environment
  • Clean driving record, with the ability to travel to client sites and other Trihydro offices
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Fluency with Microsoft Excel
Responsibilities
Under the direct supervision of senior project managers, the successful candidate will:

  • Scope, cost, plan, execute, and report for environmental investigation and remediation projects
  • Develop work plans and health & safety plans, brief field staff, and coordinate with regulatory agencies, subcontractors, and clients to execute investigation and remediation projects
  • Oversee and perform field investigations that include surface reconnaissance, surface mapping, surface water measurements and sampling, drilling, trenching, and multi-media sample collection (air, water, soil) for field and laboratory testing
  • Manage and evaluate data, perform analyses, and compare findings to relevant studies and local, state, and federal standards for regulatory compliance
  • Evaluate remedial alternatives for soil, groundwater, sediment, and indoor air impacts and develop Remedial Implementation Work Plans
  • Oversee and perform remedial activities for impacted soil (excavation, in situ treatment, etc.), groundwater (extraction, in situ treatment, etc.), and vapor (indoor air mitigation system, engineering controls, etc.)
  • Prepare investigation summary, remedy implementation, performance monitoring, and site closure reports for submittal to clients and agencies
  • Prepare engineering plans/documents, specifications, and drawings
  • Prepare proposals and cost estimates for new business opportunities
