As a Benefits Director, you will direct the planning, administration and management of all medical, prescription, dental and vision benefits; retirement plans; deferred comp; wellness programs; absences (including FML and disability); life insurance; and voluntary insurance plans.Job Description

- Experience Desired: Minimum of 10 years of people leadership experience with proven ability in supporting high performance teams.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in Benefit, COBRA, and/or Retirement administration (401k/Pension).
- Exceptional customer focus.
- Excellent communication, project management, presentation and negotiation skills.
- Dedicated team player, highly organized, ability to take the initiative and be independent.
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to manage multiple assignments; Excellent mathematical and analytical skills.
- Advanced Technical Skills: specifically MS Office Suite, and HCMS (Workday)
- Education Required : Bachelors Degree, Human Resources, Business Administration or related field
- Certification or Licensing Required: CEBS
Job Responsibilities
- Conduct market research and competitive intelligence with respect to best practices in benefits programs
- Provide a SWOT analysis of our current state and identify any gaps with our existing benefits program, and create strategies for improvement
- Organize company-wide benefits needs assessments, analyze results, and develop various employee benefits programs, such as retirement plans, stock options, life insurance, medical insurance, etc.
- Communicate and negotiate with various benefits providers to identify vendors and benefits packages that are suitable for our employees and cost-effective for the business
- Lead and develop a team of benefits administrators that are subject matter experts for topics including health & welfare, COBRA administration, union benefits administration and billing and retirement.
- Lead and develop the Benefits team to be experts in vendor management, problem solving, processing procedures and service delivery
- Provide strategic direction on Collective Bargaining agreements, and working with the Labor Relations team as needed to respond to negotiations data requests and other union request.
- Act as the liaison and subject matter expert on the implementation of new program and plan changes that are delivered from Total Rewards.
- Ensure regulatory compliance with all Department of Labor, IRS and all applicable regulations for all defined benefit programs.
- Provide operational metrics on overall service level results to senior management and ensure targets are achieved as defined within the service level agreements.
- Develop and manage a comprehensive strategy for all benefit programs, ensuring compliance with regulations such as ERISA, HIPAA, FMLA, COBRA, and the Affordable Care Act.
- Manage and negotiate contracts and relationships with all benefit vendors in addition to conducting monthly, quarterly or annual reviews of design and costs to ensure highest level of Team Member service and satisfaction.
