Position: In-Person Speech Language Pathologist - CFY

Salary: $50 / hour (Travel Pay Package Available to those who qualify)

Location: Near Thornton, CO

Shift: Monday - Friday | Typical School Day Hours

Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Start Date: August 2024

Contract Length: Full academic year (24/25 SY)

Additional Details: Must have an SSP or TEE License with a Speech Language Pathologist endorsement or be willing to recieve it. Licensure assistance may be available to those who qualify. Various sites available for consideration.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

+ Assesses students communication skills (e.g. articulations, fluency, voice, expressive and receptive language, etc.) for the purpose of identifying communication disorders, determining program eligibility and developing recommendations for treatment

+ Collaborates with a variety of groups and/or individuals for the purpose of communicating information, resolving issues and providing services in compliance with established guidelines

+ Coordinates meetings and processes for eligible students (e.g. testing/screening, IEPs, parent conferences, pre-referral staffing, etc.) for the purpose of presenting evaluation results, developing treatment plans, and/or providing training to parents/students/staff

+ Develops treatment plans, interventions and/or educational materials for the purpose of minimizing the adverse impact of communication disorders in compliance with regulatory requirements

+ Instructs eligible students in the use of appropriate communication technologies (e.g. hearing aids, FM systems, augmentative communication devices, etc.)

+ Maintains files and/or records (e.g. progress reports, activity logs, billing information, treatment plans, required documentation, quarterly reports, screening results, etc.)

+ Participates in meetings, workshops, and seminars (e.g. training, IEPs, team meetings, etc.)

+ Provides speech and language therapy to students for the purpose of minimizing the adverse impact of speech and language disorders on student success Seeks appropriate in-service and professional development

+ Performs other duties as assigned/necessary

Minimum Requirements:

+ Active Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) Licensure in the state of assignment required

+ Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred and may be required by state/contract.

+ Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice

+ Participation and completion of Amergis' Competency program when applicable

+ Current CPR if applicable

+ TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable

+ Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)

+ Must meet all federal, state and local requirements

+ Successful completion of new hire training as applicable to job site

+ Understand patient confidentiality and HIPAA requirements

+ Ability to effectively elicit/provide information to and from appropriate individuals (including, but not limited to, supervisors, co-workers, clients) via strong communication skills; proficiency in the English language is required

+ Computer proficiency required

+ Must be at least 18 years of age
