AFSS is looking for a

Satellite Ground Segment Engineer

to support the current and future NASA and NOAA satellite systems in Suitland, MD.

Key Role

Candidate will be working as a contractor to Goddard Space Flight Center (GSFC) division of NASA. Support the configuration, deployment, and operation of ground segment engineering analysis software necessary to support the health and safety of the program(s). Provide satellite operators training and real-time troubleshooting in support of operations and testing events.

Requirements

Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or Physics.
Software development experience is preferred, scripting experience is required.
Satellite Systems, Ground or Flight experience, preferred.
3 + years of relevant work experience in an engineering field
Ability to support overtime and shift work in support of test and launch events.
Ability to work independently and as part of a diverse team.
Ability to obtain National Agency Check Inquiry (NACI) personal background check.
US Citizenship is required.
