Description

Position Purpose:

Charis Bible College is seeking a dedicated and experienced Admissions Counseling Lead to join our dynamic team. As the Admissions Counseling Lead, you will play a crucial role in guiding prospective students through the admissions process, while also providing leadership and mentorship to a team of admissions counselors. This position requires a strong understanding of the college's mission and values, excellent communication skills, the ability to lead a team effectively, and a passion for helping students achieve their educational and spiritual goals. This role has administrative and ministerial opportunities to interact, inspire, and support prospective and enrolled students in their journey to Charis. The primary purpose is to encourage and guide applicants successfully through the Charis Bible College enrollment process from completed application to arrival on campus. This position plays a direct role in the incoming student's spiritual growth as they encourage, minister to, and pray for those assigned to them.

Essential Duties:
  • Address incoming students, potential students, and Admissions Counselors with encouragement, the Word of God, and prayer.
  • Effectively minister to incoming students and Admissions Counselors using God's Word while representing Charis Bible College.
  • Maintain a complete understanding of all areas of Charis Bible College and be able to articulate it effectively.
  • Lead a team of admissions counselors, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to ensure their success in meeting admissions goals, proper payment processing, and skillset build-outs.
  • This position will also maintain the duties of an Admissions Counselor on top of the Lead role.
  • Oversee the admissions process for a team of admissions counselors from application completionto registration, ensuring adherence to established policies and procedures.
  • Cultivate a culture that is focused on the student experience and admissions best practices.
  • Assist in building and expanding the admissions process for the One Charis model.
  • Work with the admissions counselor supervisor to give quality feedback to admissions counselors and monitor and guide job performance improvements for the team.
  • Work harmoniously and effectively communicates with other Charis teams in an integral, humble, and professional manner.
  • Maintain accurate and organized records of all admissions-related activities, including student interactions and enrollment statistics. Prepare reports weekly and as needed for leadership.
Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage with diverse populations.
  • Self-management with minimal supervision.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Familiarity with CRM software, student information systems, and other admissions-related tools.
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive information with discretion.
  • Comprehensively operate a computer and all the Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
  • Results and customer service oriented, with outstanding professionalism.
  • Ability to lead a team that works a flexible schedule at times, as well as attend conferences and events that occur on campus throughout the year, which may occur during evenings and weekends.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Proven ability to appropriately prioritize and accomplish simultaneous objectives, recognizing, disciplining, and leveraging the skills of others to accomplish them in a timely manner.
  • Proven ability to effectively implement processes & systems with a team.
  • Knowledgeable about the Word of God and passionate about Charis Bible College.
Requirements:
  • Must have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
  • Must sign the statement of faith.
  • High school diploma or equivalent education is required.
  • Charis Bible College student or graduate is preferred.
  • Must pass all required checks.
Experience:
  • A minimum of one year of administrative experience is preferred.
  • A minimum of one year of customer service is preferred.
  • Previous experience in admissions counseling for Charis Bible College is required.
  • Compensation is commensurate with experience.
