Maintenance Technician

Overview Maintenance Technician role at Niagara Bottling. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring equipment uptime through timely, in-depth troubleshooting and repair of production equipment and facilities to support operations. Responsibilities Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems using schematics, drawings, and testing equipment. Repair equipment, fixtures, systems, conveyors, and other equipment at the facility. Modify, lubricate, diagnose, and operate equipment in accordance with Niagaras defined processes. Maintain industrial control systems and work independently or with team members to complete repairs safely and promptly. May fill in for production operator as needed. Create and report repairs throughout shift and complete required work order paperwork, documenting parts and material usage. Understand and follow plant safety rules including safe lifting practices and safe machine operation. Use Personal Protective Equipment where required. Maintain regular and predictable attendance as an essential function of the job to ensure uptime. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications 4 years Experience in field or similar maintenance environment 4 years Experience in position 4 years Experience managing people/projects Experience may include a combination of work experience and education Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and resolve issues across multiple departments Basic experience with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook Ability to read and interpret schematics: electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic Skilled in the use of shop equipment (hydraulic and mechanical presses, bench grinder, drill press, mill and lathe, and assorted power tools) Proficient with precision measuring equipment (calipers, dial indicators, bore gauges, depth gauges) Willingness to be a technical leader and trainer within a specific area of plant or machine center Must have own toolbox and basic tools Preferred Qualifications 6 years Experience in field or similar manufacturing environment 6 years Experience working in position 6 years Experience managing people/projects Experience in high-speed manufacturing, bottling, beverage, packaging, or plastics industries Experience with technologies: VFD, servo drives and servo motors Rotary equipment such as rotary press or filler Thermodynamics, heat transfer, or plastics processing Krones, Sidel, or Husky equipment HVAC including chillers and/or air compressors Experience working with electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic schematics for troubleshooting Fabrication capabilities (cutting and welding: MIG, TIG or stick) Electrical experience with 480VAC & 24VDC power Ability to read and interpret process and instrumentation diagrams Repair of variable frequency drives, servo motors and controllers, communication systems (ASi-bus, CAN-bus, Profinet, Ethernet), PLC I/O cards, and safety modules Education Minimum: High School Diploma Preferred: Associates Degree in manufacturing, manufacturing technology, mechatronics, industrial manufacturing, manufacturing automation or related field Certification/License Required: N/A Preferred: N/A Languages Required: None Preferred: None Compensation and Benefits Pay Rate Type: Hourly Salary: $30.35 - $44.01 per hour Benefits: See Niagara Bottling benefits information Location and Employment Type Location: Baltimore, MD Employment type: Full-time Job function: Manufacturing Industries: Food and Beverage Services Philadelphia-based or nearby referrals: Referrals may increase interview chances. #J-18808-Ljbffr
