Job Description

We are a healthcare company in Meridian, ID looking for an organized, compassionate, and knowledgeable Director of Nursing to join our team.
Responsibilities
Plans, develops, and directs the overall operation of the nursing department to ensure the highest degree of quality resident care in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations
Manages the health care of all residents, including coordinating care with other resident services
Supervise staff who have been delegated and/or assigned nursing tasks
Educates and trains staff, develops on-going training materials for care staff and focuses on team development and appropriate delegation of tasks within the department
Review of all incident reports and follow up as necessary
Assists residents with their daily medications, treatments and resident care as assigned and within the scope of practice, policy and procedures and state regulations
Attends stand-up meetings, reporting any issues or concerns to Administration
Participate in surveys and inspections by government agencies
Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements
Minimum associate degree. Bachelor's degree preferred
Must be a Registered Nurse in good standing
Strong organizational skills
Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
At least one year of nursing leadership experience in a geriatric healthcare facility
Must speak and understand English
Has the desire to work with the geriatric population
