The registered nurse will utilize nursing skills to evaluate, treat, and report to the physician and other healthcare professionals and the physical and special needs of the patient. This individual performs initial clinical assessments and assists the physician/practitioner with any treatments or procedures; patient instruction/education related to diagnosis, tests, and medications; and maintenance and proficiency testing of clinical equipment. Educates patients, families, and staff on patient care issues. Licensed Practical Nurse - Duties include a consistent demonstration of professional conduct and ethical practice in the clinical setting; uses and interprets both verbal and non-verbal communication when working with patients and members of their families; performs initial clinical assessments and assists physician/practitioner with any treatments or procedures; patient instruction/education related to diagnosis, tests, and medications; maintenance and proficiency testing of clinical equipment; displays safety consciousness in the clinical setting with patients; self and equipment; establishes and enhances good personal rapport with patients and patient family members; complies with infection control principals and sterile procedures; utilizes good body mechanics while handling equipment, performing daily job duties and working with patients; writes concise, accurate and legible reports of patient care delivery; communicates effectively and in a timely fashion with coworkers and other clinic personnel that must share in the mutual care of assistance of patients; assumes personal responsibility for maintaining licensure and current knowledge of patient care, procedures and treatments as applicable to our clinic and specific patient population. Must be detailed oriented, and able to multi-task at all times.Position Requirements Education: Ability to obtain a South Carolina Registered Nurse license, BSN preferred. Experience: Experience as an RN in an ambulatory or physician practice is preferred, 3 years of experience as an RN in a healthcare setting is required Certifications/Licenses: Current South Carolina RN license.
