What will I do?Responsible for functioning as the primary therapist of record for a specified caseload; Psychosocial intake assessmentConducting group, individual, and couples/parenting interventions Formulation of treatment plans, Ongoing evaluation of patient needsFinal discharge status and aftercare planning.Responsible for providing a variety of medically necessary psychotherapeutic treatments and mental health evaluations as needed under the supervision of a licensed Psychologist/PsychiatristParticipation in treatment team meetings under the supervision of the staff psychiatrist and program supervisor/managerResponsibility to keep adequate case records in accordance with accepted facility, state, and federal regulationsParticipate in continuing education for all license requirementsWork in coordination with other community agencies to provide adequate treatment to assigned clientsExperience with Electronic Health Records (E.H.R.)Responsible under the program supervision/direction to prepare testimony for court proceedings in response to subpoenas generated by Court SystemsAbility to write reports/correspondence, generate data and reports and present themAbility to calculate figures and amounts such as payment reimbursements and payroll labor distributionsAbility to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule formEmployees may take part in Private Contract work under the auspices of this job description. (Inquire during interview)RequirementsWhat will I need?Master's and License required in the behavioral or social sciencesKnowledge of childhood, adolescent and adult psychopathology and basic psychotherapeutic issues, treatment techniques and methods of intervention.Good interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively.Qualifications to complete licensing process requiredThe Mental Health Therapist is a professional member of the outpatient staff and is responsible for the provision of psychotherapeutic activities with an assigned caseload.
