POSITION OBJECTIVE:

This position is responsible and accountable for managing all activities for the entire shift in a highly automated Omni Channel DC Operation. This role is on the front lines providing the product to our customer and meeting the established standards and goals for productivity, throughput, staffing, safety, and quality.

This role provides a unique opportunity to influence others' safety, leadership, problem solving and development of others.

FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Responsible for all inbound and outbound functions in the DC, which includes receiving, put-away, picking, decasing, automated unit sortation, packing, shipping, and production control.

Liaisons with other support services such as Warehouse Management System (WMS), Warehouse Control System (WCS), Data Analytics, Inventory Control, Human Resources, Engineering and Safety.

* Accountable to deliver shift performance of processed and shipped 'what' throughout and managing to the labor standards set forth to support volume.

* Manages and adjusts labor hours for all shift personnel with the Labor Management System (LMS), holding all department supervisors accountable in their areas.

* Collaborates with DC Operations and peers to develop a detailed labor plan which establishes year-round and seasonal staffing and scheduling to efficiently manage fluctuating business volumes.

* Identifies training, operational, and organizational opportunities to support shift, building and company goals.

* Examines and makes recommendations to continuously improve work processes.

* Supports cross-functional projects and work group efforts to improve efficiency of operations.

* Minimizes risks of work-related injuries and illnesses and associated cost by conducting monthly safety audits and addressing any unsafe conditions.

* Knows and follows Chico's Customs-Trade Partnership against Terrorism (C-TPAT) plan and procedures as they related to the area/scope of responsibility for this position.

* Manages expenses within budgetary limits.

* Bridges strategic, tactical, and operational business concepts and developments by applying an end-to-end mindset.

* Ensures a high-performance culture, in which supervisors motivate and hold associates accountable to meet performance goals.

* Coaches and develops supervisors with job leadership related skills through work assignment, direct training, and regular feedback.

* Communicates and monitors adherence to company policy, programs, and procedures.

* Values individuality and the diverse talents of their team. Leads the team by communicating expectations, providing guidance, delivering feedback, and empowering the team to be their best.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

* Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field or combination of education and business experience

* 5+ years of management experience or 10+ years of supervisory experience in an automated fulfillment and distribution environment

* Experience working with a WMS (Warehouse Management Systems), LMS (Labor Management System) and Microsoft Office applications (EXCEL and WORD).

Manhattan WMS experience is a plus

* Business mindset: strong numerical and analytical skills.

* Strong experience working on several projects simultaneously.

* Project and process management skills within four-wall Distribution Centers.

* Experience with managing complex Distribution Center operations.

* Excellent communication skills; including written, oral, training and presentation skills

* Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills to motivate and direct the activities of many

* Excellent time management, organizational, planning, expediting and proactive skills

* Ability to multi-task, prioritize and meet deadlines

* Excellent delegation and follow up and customer service skills
