-- Job Overview The Quality Control Director oversees all Quality Control (QC) lab activities, ensuring adherence to cGMP processes for product quality assurance. With a focus on product excellence, the QC Director spearheads defect detection and correction initiatives to uphold standards. By championing a product-oriented approach, they drive QC operations to maintain high-quality standards throughout the manufacturing process

Essential Functions • Lead the day-to-day operations of the analytical laboratory, ensuring smooth functioning and adherence to protocols. • Implement robust quality control measures to detect and address any quality defects promptly and thoroughly investigated to prevent recurrence. • Develop and implement Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) tailored to the laboratory's objectives and regularly analyze KPI data to gauge performance. • Drive continuous improvement initiatives, leveraging KPI data to identify areas for enhancement and streamline processes to boost efficiency and reduce costs. • Take an active role in continuous improvement teams, collaborating cross-functionally to optimize scheduling, outsourcing, and procurement processes to maximize efficiency and effectiveness. • Supervise and mentor laboratory personnel, ensuring alignment with company standards and providing technical guidance and support. • Conduct necessary testing, adhering to established protocols and standards to maintain data integrity and accuracy. • Ensure regulatory compliance, including cGMPs and company policies, to uphold operational integrity. • Promptly investigate and resolve Out-of-Specification (OOS) events to maintain product quality and regulatory compliance. • Manage reference standard libraries and hazardous materials, ensuring proper storage, inventory control, and compliance with regulatory requirements. • Draft and review protocols and summary reports to document procedures and findings accurately. • Oversee personnel functions, including recruitment, performance appraisals, and leave management. • Flexibility to work holidays and weekends as needed to support laboratory operations.

Experience and Education: • Minimum 10 years of experience in cGMP environment Drugs or Dietary Supplements. • Minimum 5 years of management experience • BS Degree or higher in Science; Candidates with an M.S. and a science background preferred.
