SUMMARY: The Compensation Specialist will be responsible for evaluating compensation plans across the organization and present competitive compensation packages for all employees. This role will require you to work closely with the CHRO to ensure compensation strategies align with organizational goals, benchmark and analyze market trends to guarantee the competitiveness of our compensation offerings, equity, long and short-term incentive plans, engage with a third-party when necessary for comprehensive compensation surveys, act as the primary liaison for compensation-related inquiries from varied stakeholders and acting as a thought leader with regard to compensation philosophy.
IN THIS ROLE, THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL:
Primarily focus on broad-based compensation plan design and execution, while also partnering with CHRO on executive compensation decisions.
Serve as the subject matter expert for broad-based compensation activities including incentive award processes, commission payment processes, merit, market adjustment, and promotion cycles, and other compensation adjustments when necessary.
Identify and recommend improvements to compensation programs and processes.
Provide information, advice and counsel to Human Resources and leadership on compensation philosophy, issues, opportunities, and questions.
Develop and maintain salary range structures within HRIS platform.
Conduct market research and benchmarking by gathering data on industry compensation trends and practices to determine competitive compensation ranges for each position.
Conduct data and cost analyses.
Collaborate with Sales Management and respective HRBPs on sales compensation plan design.
Provide guidance and support to managers, recruiters, and HRBPs on compensation related matters, including pay recommendations, salary offers, promotions, and incentives.
Partner with HRBPs and internal stakeholders to create job descriptions to meet business needs, complete a market analysis, assign jobs to the appropriate compensation structure and FLSA classification.
Recommend improvement in compensation plans, workflows, and HRIS processes.
Prepare and present summary reports of job analysis and compensation analysis information.
Ensure compensation programs and job classifications adhere to applicable wage and hour laws.
Stay current with federal, state, and local payroll regulations, labor laws, and tax requirements.
Lead the annual processes and compensation recommendations for market updates, salary structures, merit cycles, and bonus programs and communicate to stakeholders.
Administer the equity (stock) program.
Process compensation and job-related transactions, such as creating new job profiles in HRIS platform, reclassifying positions, processing job and compensation changes, and creating position requisitions.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position does not have any supervisory responsibilities.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE THE FOLLOWING QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelors degree (B.A.) in Human Resources or related.
Minimum 5 years compensation experience required.
Experience collecting, analyzing, reporting and presenting data.
Computer proficiency with the ability to use Microsoft products, including advanced Excel.
Proficiency using HRIS and market-pricing tools; experience with UKG and PayScale preferred.
Technical expertise of compensation and related components (e.g. legal and regulatory requirements).
Extensive knowledge of quantitative and qualitative research and analytical methods.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Demonstrated experience building relationships and working with cross-functional teams
Capable of working under tight deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Ability to plan, prioritize, manage multiple projects and initiatives.
Ability to independently research problem areas, facilitate meetings and decision-making processes.
Demonstrated ability to work with confidential information and use discretion.
Experience working for a global company (US & Canada).
