Job Description

RTE Janitor

1st Shift: 6:30am-4:30pm, Monday thru Friday, +Weekends as Production Scheduled Requires

Pay: $21.00 per hour

Primary Duties: This position keeps the production floor area clean for both line 1 and line 2. They scoop up inedible meat product with a shovel, mops condensation, sprays the floor with water and squeegees it, takes out the trash, boxes, and liners, and fills sanitizers. Also, takes care of laundry, including frocks, gloves, gumbies. Cleans break rooms and restrooms in production area. Performs other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

All team members must abide by all of Burke's plant safety rules

Requirements of the production team member include:
  • Ability to learn and perform multiple positions (Training will be provided)
  • Work in temperatures 40-50 degrees and 32 degrees in the cooler
  • Being able to operate an electric pallet jack (In-house training provided)
  • Ability to work in an environment that is fast paced
  • Being able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to do repetitive tasks
  • Standing, walking, pushing, lifting, bending, stepping up and down
  • Operating food processing equipment
  • Following Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's)
  • Fill in for other plant positions as necessary (Additional pay provided for higher pay grade position)
  • Basic Math skills
  • Perform any and all duties as assigned by Supervisor

  • 18 years or older
