Job Description
We are seeking a Child Psychiatrist to join our expanding multidisciplinary Mental Health Practice located in Port Jefferson Station, Port Jefferson Downtown and soon to be added Melville location on Long Island. This person will serve as a key member of our leadership team. Island Psychiatry, PC was founded with the aim of providing a broad range of high quality mental health services. We are looking for talented, caring, and highly motivated professionals who will advance our ability to deliver comprehensive care.

Responsibilities: Oversee and deliver comprehensive psychiatric care to patients
  • Complete psychiatric screenings and evaluations
  • Conduct examinations and consultations
  • Obtain and review lab work and evaluate other medical conditions and documentation
  • Make clinical recommendations
  • Prescribe and monitor medications
  • Consult with interdisciplinary treatment teams
  • Utilize an EMR to complete progress notes and e-prescribe
  • Support in the oversight and development of programs and practitioners
Qualifications:
  • Board eligible with the expectation of becoming Board Certified
  • Experience and comfortability with EHR systems.
