The Quality Manager will work under the direction of the Clinical Operations Director and is responsible for overall maintenance of the Quality Program, staff orientation and education files, quality studies, corrective actions, containment, and improvement plans. The Quality Manager reviews, analyzes, and trends all Incident/Variance Reports for the facility, communicates results and/or concerns to Leadership, and prepares reports and presentations for Executive Committees. Participates in the integration of quality management into the performance improvement process. Monitors incident reporting, infection control and risk management programs for the surgery center. Maintains in-depth knowledge and assists in the review and revision of policies and procedures. Leads, facilitates and advises internal quality assurance process improvement program.
Requirements
Qualifications
Graduate of an approved school of nursing or Bachelors Degree preferably in Healthcare Administration or other Medical specialty.
Current North Carolina Licensure as applicable to RNs.
1 to 3 years experience in risk management, infection control and/or quality improvement preferred.
Minimum of three (3) years experience in ambulatory surgery or similar setting.
Certification in BLS within 6 months of hire.
ACLS certification required for RNs participating in patient care.
Membership and participation in professional organization recommended.
Advanced computer knowledge; Microsoft Suite including Word, Excel, and Power Point. Able to learn multiple software platforms including Practice Management, Quality/Incident Reporting, and Document Management Platforms.
Experience in Software implementation and Project Management a plus.
