Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Management plus a minimum of 7 years experience in sales and marketing management (preferably all in plastics), 3 years of which were in the fastener industry, OR an equivalent combination of education and experience Must be able to travel as needed, possibly up to 50% of the time Proven background in creating, implementing, and executing sales programs in a Distributor/OEM environment Strong interpersonal skills, with proven experience coordinating and influencing sales professionals Must have a valid driver’s license Responsibilities

The VP of Sales develops strategies and implements tactical plans to achieve the business opportunities for specific markets with responsibility for overall revenue generation and meeting or exceeding revenue goals They also supervise the Regional Sales Managers (RSM), Sales & Marketing Specialist and Customer Service Manager and regularly interact with senior management Represent the company in the highest professional and ethical manner at all times Direct sales operations for the organization through the development and implementation of a cohesive sales team Establish measurable targets and goals for the sales department and individuals within the sales department Measure and monitor performance to the established targets/goals and provide feedback for the employee development Develop and implement short and long-term goals and strategies for sales and business development Provide consistent and effective communication to Executive Management regarding sales progress, forecasts and results Coordinate sales efforts closely with RSM’s, Marketing and Customer Service Maintain contacts with RSM’s, Manufacturer’s Rep’s and key accounts Train sales force, distributors and customers on products and services Responsible for developing and maintaining an annual budget Represent the company in industry trade shows, both as an attendee and as exhibitor Other duties as assigned by President Company information Franklin Professional Associates is founded on over 40 years of experience aligning qualified professionals with organizational needs throughout the Metro West and Central Massachusetts regions.
