Environmental Technician_

**Job Responsibilities:** + Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP) inspections, BMP installations, and BMP Maintenance + Periodically hauling a trailer with a company pickup truck + Conduct environmental inspections and sampling including asbestos, lead, mold, soil, groundwater, air, etc. + Prepare inspections reports based on the inspection findings + Create maps + Conduct asbestos and lead abatement oversight + Other related duties as assigned **Required Qualifications:** + The successful candidates will be required to read, write and speak English + The ability to properly wear and use personal respirator equipment and other forms of personal protective equipment is required + Candidates should have excellent verbal and written communication skills, a POSITIVE attitude, good organizational skills, a strong work ethic, GREAT customer service, and be reliable + Candidates must have a current valid driver's license with a clean driving record and be able to pass a drug test **Preferred Qualifications:** + Bachelor's Degree in a related science or engineering field + OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER certificate + Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and CADD **About UES** UES is a national leader in Geotechnical Engineering, Construction Materials Testing and Inspection, Building Code Compliance, Environmental Consulting, Occupational Health & Safety, Virtual Design Consulting, and Building Envelope.
