Junior Electrical EngineerRole SummaryOur client is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join their rapidly growing team. The Senior Operations Manager will be a project design leader, preparing planning and design documents and processing design calculations as part of the Mechanical and Electrical team. The ideal candidate has knowledge and experience in performing detailed power system engineering studies.Key Results AreaLead and manage engineering projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery, adherence to quality standards, and achievement of project goalsDesign, development, testing, and integration of embedded software/ hardware systemsDevelopment of electrical single-line diagrams and overall plant electrical distribution systemsSpecifying and purchasing key electrical equipment such as medium and low voltage switchgear and motor control centers, transformers, and the likeWrite purchase specifications, evaluate quotations, perform technical bid evaluations, vendor document review, and factory acceptance testingPerform electrical system studies including short circuits, load flow, transient motor start, protection relay coordination, and arc flash, and create appropriate protective device settingsAssists the project team in the production of projects on time, within budget, and consistent with industry standardsPerforms specific engineering studies and other design analyses using industry softwareConducts project job site visits during construction to monitor progress and observe installed construction; makes comments based on design specifications, owner expectations, and building codesAssists senior technical staff in the development of technical documentation, proposals, and presentations to clientsMaintains a continued focus on keeping up with industry trends and changes through continued self-education and trainingSkills & QualificationsBachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering2+ years of experience in the design of industrial electrical power systemsA professional Engineer License is requiredComputer literate and experienced in the use of SKM Power Tools, MS Word, and MS ExcelAbility to self-execute all electrical engineering and oversee design within a given project as well as lead a team of electrical engineers and designers on larger, more complex projectsKnowledge and application of switchgear, motor control centers, transformers, motors, and generators used in industrial power systems, as well as the ability to prepare and interpret specifications related to such equipmentAdvatix, Inc. is one of the worlds leading providers of e-commerce Supply Chain and Logistics Consulting Services and Solutions that enable its clients to transform their operations for speed, service, and cost of fulfillment and delivery of goods and services.
