Senior DevSecOps Engineer

Irvine, California, United States

In this role, you'll spearhead our CI/CD pipelines, ensuring seamless management of the companies ground segment. Your primary objectives will include automating development pipelines, constructing robust application infrastructure, and integrating cutting-edge technologies into our DevOps framework for enhanced reliability and consistency.

Key Responsibilities
Ensure the secure and efficient development, deployment, and maintenance of applications in an AWS and AWS GovCloud environment
Implement DevSecOps best practices to integrate security into every phase of the Secure Software Development Lifecycle (SSDLC), while adhering to NIST protocols and compliance
Automate CI/CD workflows allowing developers to focus on software design and development tasks
Develop and implement new pipelines and infrastructure architectures that improve how Turion Space operates
Ability to evaluate and integrate security into the developers CI/CD process
Identifying potential security risks and developing strategies to mitigate them
Ensure all environments run smoothly
Discover and remove vulnerabilities in the application, infrastructure, or integrations.
Collaborate with Cybersecurity Team to conduct security assessments, penetration testing, and security reviews of applications and infrastructure
Promote security awareness amongst the various teams and departments

Minimum Qualifications
BS in computer science, engineering, or a related technical field
5+ years of DevSecOps and infrastructure development experience
Strong understanding of NIST protocols and compliance requirements
Demonstrated ability to design, build, and test software infrastructure from scratch
Strong security knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker, and emerging containerization technologies
Must be able to work extended hours and weekends as needed
Must be able to obtain a Secret and/or a TS/SCI clearance

Preferred Skills and Experience
Experience with docker
Prior experience in a DevSecOps role within an AWS GovCloud environment
Experience working within a microservices environment
Experience building complex systems that have been successfully delivered to customers
