ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  1. Formulates and administers company policies relating to regulatory, statutory, industry, and customer requirements and develops long-range goals and objectives.
  2. Implement communication, monitoring, and enforcement of compliance standards.
  3. Develop, assess, improve, and revise as needed product, compliance, or operational risk management strategies.
  4. Direct and/or assist as designated, that policies, procedures, and programs for safety, disaster recovery/business continuity, commerce, environmental, and other regulatory concerns are consistent throughout the corporation
  5. Demonstrates an understanding of the relevant regulations, standards, and operating procedures.
  6. Demonstrates an understanding of the requirements and has the ability to perform gap assessments to those requirements.
  7. Demonstrates an understanding of quality concepts such as cost of quality, analytical metrics and /or statistics, trending, quality planning, validation, CAPA, and problem-solving.
  8. Works cross-functionally and has the ability to interpret the requirements as well as educate and influence others on those requirements.
  9. Responsible for communicating business-related issues or opportunities to the next management level
  10. Responsible for ensuring compliance with Quality Procedures, Laws and Regulations of the applicable Markets
  11. Manages preparation and scheduling of Quality Management System audits - 3rd party and customer.
  12. Interfaces with customers and 3rd party auditors in the administration of issued nonconformances.
  13. Accumulates ongoing data and objective evidence for audit preparation. Inclusive of department needs on a corporate and branch level.
  14. Performs collection and prepares reports for all locations for Management review per AS/ISO standards.
  15. Assists and coordinates the addition and achievement of certification(s) for new business opportunities.
  16. Coordinates and communicates quality objectives across all locations.
  17. Prepares compliance audit data by compiling and analyzing internal and external information.
  18. Ensure that appropriate corrective/preventative action(s) are established and validated for effectiveness.
  19. Administrates internal and external audits as determined by each department. Includes workstation audits.
  20. Perform investigations/root cause analysis and develop corrective actions for nonconformances from internal and external audits.
  21. Review achievements and discuss required changes in goals or objectives resulting from current status and conditions
  22. Administrator in IAQG OASIS database for AS9100.
  23. Maintains documented manuals, procedures, instructions, etc. within available operating systems to ensure consistency across all locations
  24. Disseminate written policies and procedures related to compliance activities.
  25. Supports the compliance department with ongoing communication, formulation, confirmation, and implementation of regulatory, statutory, industry and customer-stated requirements.
  26. Keep current and informed regarding existing, pending amendments, and newly issued standards, industry changes, trends, and best practices; advise management on needed actions; assess the potential impact of these changes on organizational processes and policies enforcing adherence to requirements;
  27. Create, establish, implement, and manage employee training on quality management systems-related topics, policies, or procedures. Oversee internal/external resource and reporting systems and ensure training and information about these systems are provided to the appropriate employees.
  28. Review and/or modify procedures and policy guidelines to comply with changes to regulatory standards or regulations
  29. Assist personnel by answering questions and responding to requests.
  30. Performs other duties assigned as needed


REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • At least 5 years in Quality Management capacity
  • Aerospace and manufacturing backgrounds are preferred
  • College Degree or equivalent experience in a related field
  • Knowledge of AS9100 and ISO9001 Quality Management Systems
  • Understanding of Six Sigma and Lean manufacturing tools
