Yourmissions :Location: Lenexa, KSJob Summary and Purpose:The Marek's Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day production activities of the Marek's vaccine manufacturing process, such as ensuring that all production tasks are performed in compliance with the applicable SOPs, batch records, and outlines of production, and ensuring that all team members comply with Company Safety and Quality Policies.They are responsible for achieving the key productivity deliverables for their team and for the coaching, development, and performance management of employees within their team.Responsibilities and Key Duties:Employee Development & Leadership: •Models Company leadership principles and inclusive behaviors. •Provides coaching and supports skills development and process capabilities within the Focus Factory. •Is responsible for providing effective feedback and coaching within the team during the Performance Management cycle and ensuring that Employee Development Plans (EDPs) are in place. •Is accountable for ensuring all operators receive appropriate training for all assigned tasks. •Is accountable for the effective performance management of individuals in their teams. Safety Compliance: •Demonstrates a strong compliance mindset (EHS, Quality, and Finance) and continuously sets a high standard for themselves and their team.Ensure that all staff adheres to the Company Safety and Waste Management Policies. •Ensures that they and their team follow safe operating instructions for all tasks and equipment. •Ensures that the right tools and equipment specified for the task are available and utilized. •Ensures that the correct personal protective equipment required is available and utilized. •To follow up on any reported defects or workplace hazards immediately. •To report all accidents, incidents, and near misses within 24 hours and to participate in the investigation and identification of effective corrective and preventative actions.Quality Compliance:•Supports the on-time completion of Quality compliance tasks in relation to Deviation, CAPA, and Change Control management. •Supports all aspects of Quality Assurance including cGMP, RFT, and good documentation practices, and provides coaching to the rest of their team. Productivity: •Is accountable for the weekly and monthly schedule adherence of production activities within their department. •Contributes to creating a culture of continuous improvement and leads by example. •Sponsors effective problem-solving and ensures that resources are available. Financial: •Is responsible for meeting the agreed departmental budget for Spend, Production Activity, Discards, and Headcount. •Recognizes and investigates opportunities for financial savings.Core Competencies:•Shape solutions out of complexity - Is open and curious of other's perspectives.
