Assistant Racquets Professional

Allegheny Country Club has an excellent opportunity available for a skilled Assistant Racquets Professional, who is enthusiastic about all racquet sports.
The primary role of the position is to assist the Director of Racquets with the management of all facilities and activities related to tennis, platform tennis and pickleball.
In this role you will (but not limited to):
- Provides tennis lessons for adults and juniors-private, semi-private and group-beginner through advanced levels, as assigned by the Director of Racquets
- Assists with all junior tennis programming: supervision and instruction of juniors, recording video as needed, promoting the game of tennis and teamwork
- Participate and assist in pickleball and paddle tennis lessons, clinics, programs and events as assigned by the Director of Racquets
- Increases member participation by actively promoting Club racquets programs and lessons
- Attends and helps organize and run club events as assigned (examples of additional accompanying tasks may include sending emails, creating draws, working to create flyers, etc.)
- Responsible for recording lesson appointments, reservations and billing related to all private lessons
- Responsible for submitting monthly totals with accurate record of hours to the Director of Racquets
- Responsible for the daily maintenance of courts and areas that are adjacent to the courts (paddle, indoor and outdoor tennis) when needed
- Performs any additional tasks needed to keep the tennis courts and surrounding areas in their top shape (this includes the indoor building, indoor courts and paddle courts)
- Must have a minimum of tennis playing experience of 5 years
- College level tennis highly recommended
- USPTA, PTR, Cardio Tennis certifications highly recommended
- Strong organizational, verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to work independently, as well as to accept and follow directions on given assignments
