**Job Description**

The Controls System Lead (CSL) is responsible for support within the fulfillment center operations, focusing on maintaining, troubleshooting and modifying material handling controls systems equipment to ensure operational performance of material handling equipment such as conveyors, sortation systems, scanners, cameras, print and apply systems, and SCADA devices and programs. Responsibilities include maintaining and modifying software programs for control systems, acting as first-level escalation support, monitoring material handling equipment metrics, applying expertise in material handling and electronic systems to maximize building utilization, performing system assessments, partnering with leadership for new technology installations, utilizing network support resources, communicating technical issues, and training Controls Specialist Technicians.

**Hard Skills**

+ PLC experience, control layouts, schematics

+ Ability to identify, maintain, troubleshoot, and modify AB RS LOGIX 5000 PLC's and PLC components

+ Industrial electrical hands-on experience and troubleshooting, including 480V 3-phase, 110 VAC, and 24VDC systems

+ Ability to interpret and modify mechanical and electrical drawings

+ Ability to identify, maintain, and utilize SCADA systems and KPI's

**Soft Skills**

+ Ability to communicate technical issues effectively

+ Project management experience

+ Training and development skills

**Job Type**

This is a permanent position.

**Work Site**

This is a fully on-site position in Kearny, New Jersey.

**Work Environment**

For the first 2 weeks, new hires will travel to a nearby site or designated training location for onboarding, with accommodations provided for travel if over 50 miles from the location. The facility is extremely large with top of the line technology, where the CSL will be responsible for managing all control systems and providing direction to 3 Controls Techs. The remainder of the maintenance team includes about 15 Technicians. Must be open to working holidays during the peak season from November through the end of the year and be available on-call for pressing issues.
