We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Bilingual Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team. This role will support our diverse student population by providing high-quality speech and language services in both English and Spanish.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments to identify students' needs.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records of assessments, therapy sessions, progress notes, and IEPs.
- Provide service sessions in both English and Spanish, utilizing culturally and linguistically appropriate methods.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address speech, language, and communication disorders.
- Participate in the development of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and attend multidisciplinary team meetings.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals to support students' academic and social success.
- Educate and train school staff and parents on strategies to support speech and language development at home and in the classroom.
- Stay current with best practices in speech-language pathology and bilingual education through professional development opportunities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience working in a school setting is preferred.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is required.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong knowledge of speech and language development and disorders.
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and continuous improvement.
- Current state licensure or certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist in Illinois.
