We are hiring a Graduate Construction Project Manager (Graduate) who will be responsible for the day-to-day support of Neoens internal Construction Management team of large-scale renewable energy project, on a full-time employment basis.
During the completion of the development of a given project, until Financial Close, the Construction Management team provides technical and contractual support to the local Development team leading to the project design, and to the conclusion of an EPC contract for the implementation of any new facility. Following Notice to Proceed to the EPC contractor or Finance Close (whichever is the earlier) the Construction Management team is responsible for the successful delivery of the project and meeting the projects agreed KPIs, including in relation to HSE, implementation schedule, cost and quality.
To provide additional, internal support to our current Construction Management team, Neoen is looking for a Graduate to take on certain tasks and project management responsibilities. Quick learning and ability to work independently and efficiently while understanding and managing multiple internal and external workstreams is essential for the successful support of the Construction Management team. In return, the role will provide any aspiring person real-life work experience and full insights into the delivery of large-scale renewable energy projects in Australia.
The position is based in Neoens Sydney office, reports to Neoens Head of Construction Australia. The role is office based with some occasional travel to operating facilities and/or facilities under construction.
Key responsibilities during the Project implementation phases: construction, commissioning & closing
The following list summarizes the main task the Graduate is expected to be involved in or provide the necessary support to during the Construction phase as requested:
Planning / preparation
HSE, Community Relations, Heritage etc. management plans- Risk & opportunity assessment and support in updating and management
Site access and traffic management plan
EPC logistic plan for equipment and services
Projects Stakeholders governance support
Reporting & communication preparation and internal management
Approval procedures compliance tracking
QA/QC plan
Project controls (costs, schedule, risks
Documentation control, management
Meeting coordination and notes / minutes of meetings
AEMO registration administrative support
Execution

HSE Plan implementation (including Safety in Design, HAZCON, HAZOP etc. workshops)
Site mobilization requirements administrative obligations
Detailed design (by EPC) and review support in coordinated with Owners Engineer
Day to Day construction management support to Construction Project Manager
EPC contract administration (EPC payment processes etc.)
Continuous improvement and knowledge sharing with wider groups
Control

HSE, development approval and connection agreements permitting and all other compliance
Time schedule and earned value reviews / updates
Financial support (budget at completion, payment claims)
Risk Analysis and mitigation
Project reporting
The following list summarizes the main task the Graduate is expected to be involved in or provide the necessary support to during the Commissioning and Project Closing phase:
Planning/preparation
Handover of assets to TNSP / achievement of registration
Support in reviewing Testing and commissioning procedures
Support in reviewing Commissioning test plan (FAT, SAT, Practical Completion, Performance guarantees, Final Completion)
Execution

Administration of contractual terms
Construction closing including of defect and punch listing
Completion of Hold Point testing and all testing required to achieve full production
Control

Tests Documentation administration
Financials Controls (final payments, LDs assessments, claims closing)
Final Risk Analysis and mitigation plan
Compliance documentation (HSE O&M plan, as constructed drawings, construction & operation permitting change)
Support complete handover to Asset Management team
Ongoing monitoring and closing of punch list items
Support in Key Stakeholders relationships :
PPA Off-taker as applicable
Lenders or their agents, Grantors
EPC and other Contractors
Regulatory Authorities including the AEMO and TNSP
Technical Consultants
Neoen Development Project Manager
Neoen Asset Manager
Owners Engineers
Independent Certifier / Lenders Technical Advisor
