Schedule: Full Time Shift :Days The community you’ll be caring for: AdventHealth Carrollwood ·Family-like culture ·Teamwork driven both inter Dept and multidisciplinary ·Positive working climate to support a well-balanced work life balance The role you’ll contribute: Provides support to the department by retrieving, documenting, decontamination and assembly of surgical instruments to ensure instruments are available for scheduled and emergency cases.Responsible for patient safety by ensuring surgical instruments are processed according to manufacturer’s guidelines and AAMI standards. The value you’ll bring to the team: ·Responsible for the transportation of contaminated and sterile surgical instruments and supplies to and from all OR's and patient care areas to ensure surgical instruments are available for patient use for scheduled and emergency procedures. ·Responsible for patient safety by preventing cross contamination of surgical instruments by decontaminating and inspecting instruments for cleanliness and defects. ·Contributes to department cleanliness, organization, productivity and safety by keeping all instruments and supplies are kept in designated location. ·Accurately inspects and assembles instrument trays according to manufacturer guidelines and industry standards to ensure patient safety and customer satisfaction.We are an equal opportunity employer and do not tolerate discrimination based on race, color, creed, religion, national origin, sex, marital status, age or disability/handicap with respect to recruitment, selection, placement, promotion, wages, benefits and other terms and conditions of employment.
