Overview: The Business Analyst III supports the General Bank Financial Strategy and Analytics team by performing complex data analysis to identify, measure, and advise on business profitability, growth, and efficiency. Assesses a wide scope of business practices, information and data (both internal and external), and industry/competitive trends. Determines improvements or solutions to address identified issues. Develops and presents financial analysis including but not limited to cost benefit analysis, product/channel/business profitability, return on investment, and customer retention and acquisition. You will also develop and present expense optimization and performance analytics by examining and summarizing data to support business cases and strategic initiatives. May oversee the work of less experienced analysts or assist in special projects, or participate in the development of process enhancements as needed. Responsibilities: Job Responsibilities:Data Analyses and Insights - Sources, compiles, and interprets data. Analyzes data for accuracy and efficiencies, performs advanced data analyses, and effectively communicates analyses output.Operational Support - Provides support for business operations by responding to inquiries, identifying issues, and working to improve team practices. Assists in streamlining daily work-flowfor overall unit, resolving escalated matters where possible. Implements recommended modifications and enhancements. May serve as an analytics resource to wider organization or business units.Identifying Objectives - Determines business needs and insights through complex analysis and reporting. Develops strategies to achieve company and departmental goals, and communicates these through the use of specifications, project plans, or other forms of documentation. Collaborates cross-functionally within department and with other Bank stakeholders.Reporting - Produces reports based on data analysis, industry trends, and process capabilities. Conveys patterns, problems, and areas of improvement. May develop process enhancements based on reporting. Qualifications: Basic Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree and 4 years of experience in Analytics, or Modeling, or ReportingORHigh School Diploma or GED and 8 years of experience in Analytics, or Modeling, or ReportingPreferred Qualifications:Experience working with Excel (including advanced knowledge of Pivot Tables, Macros, and formulas). Experience with basic Tableau dashboarding and SAS or SQL. Intermediate-to-advanced-level SAS and SQL skills preferable.Strong oral and written communication skills.
