- Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensure accurate processing of all candidates and new hires.
- Ensure that SFSV remains in compliance with all federal and state employment laws and regulations.
- Ensure that SFSV remains in compliance with all applicable personnel related DPW, DHS, and CBH regulations.
- Work closely with payroll to ensure the accuracy of employee new hires and changes.
- Oversee all employee benefits functions including initial enrollment, annual open enrollment, and processing of bills for medical, dental, and life insurance.
- Ensure job descriptions are current and accurate.Revise as needed.
- Implement SFSV personnel policies and practices.Revise or write new policies as needed.
- Oversee annual performance evaluations of all staff.
- Provide HR related orientation and training to SFSV staff.
- Provide support and consultation in matters of employee discipline and terminations.
- Maintain HR database - enter all new hires, update as needed, process terminations.
- Represent SFSV at Archdiocesan HR meetings.
- Prepare staffing and turnover reports for Executive Director and Secretary of CSS
- Coordinate the agency response to all unemployment claims.Attend hearings as needed.
- Process and monitor workers' compensation claims.
- Process and monitor FML and ADA requests/situations.
- Act as secretary for the Safety Committee. Create monthly Safety Committee minutes.
- Maintain OSHA logs, Safety Minutes and MDS binders.
- Maintain employee birthday bulletin board.
- Enroll and delete staff with IT department.
- Ensure confidentiality of all personnel and payroll records.Maintain records for each employee.
- Coordinate advertising for all open positions.Review and distribute resumes and applications for employment.Work with temporary staffing agencies to fill open positions.
- Interview candidates for the Youth Care Worker position.
- Perform all other tasks and responsibilities as assigned by the executive director.
