Samaritan Care, Inc Wayne County EMT Basic - FullTime Rotating 12 Hour Shifts- Sign on Bonus $4,000 The mission and purpose of this position are to compassionately deliver high-quality service and basic patient care in a professional, caring and cost-effective manner. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Compliance with all company policies and proceduresMaintain a clean appearance, demonstrating courteous, professional and ethical behavior, as well as the ability to work cooperatively with other members of the EMS Health Care SystemContinually improve and upgrade the skills and knowledge of the emergency medical profession.Render competent patient care in both pre-hospital and inter-facility settingCompliance with all applicable protocols for emergency treatment and transportation as per company policy and/or local protocolsSafely operate and maintain an emergency vehicle and compliance with all laws pertaining to the operation of an emergency vehicleSafely operate and maintain all equipment and tools relevant to an EMTCommunicate patient information to other members of the health care professionCommunicate information through the proper "chain of command", to management and other employees of Samaritan Care IncCompliance with local, state and regional emergency medical service operations, regulations, and lawsAccurately and completely document information required by Samaritan Care Inc, and the Department of Health Accurately and completely document the required information on the Samaritan Care Inc PCRDemonstrate, by attendance and documentation, compliance with the Samaritan Care, Inc and/or the Department of Health requirements for continuing education and licensureSubmit all continuing education documentation to Samaritan Care Inc Management when done and as cards are renewedDemonstrate physical ability to perform all tasks required in the performance of duties as an EMTClean and maintain the cleanliness of Samaritan Care Inc property, including, but not limited to, vehicles, equipment, buildings and surrounding areasAccurately and completely document the required information on the Samaritan Care Inc Daily Vehicle Inspection form and the Samaritan Care Inc Daily Equipment Inventory form.PHYSICAL DEMANDS:Sit and stand for extended periods of timeWalk, bend, squat, twist, reach, push, pull, and carryFrequently lift and/or move more than 125 pounds including lifting, moving and carrying patients up and down stairsMINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:High School Diploma or GED equivalentCompletion of a EMT Basic/Intermediate program and acceptance for licensure in the state of employOne year related experience preferredMaintain current Valid Driver's LicenseMaintain, on file, current and valid EMT Basic/Intermediate CertificationMaintain, on file, current and valid CPR (Health Care Provider minimum) certification.Maintain, on file, current certification cards on all other skill based pay level (BTLS, PALS, NALS, etc.)Must regularly lift and/or move up to 150 pounds
