MK Search is currently working with a medium-sized specialty chemical company based in Houston, Texas. They are seeking a dedicated and skilled Maintenance & Reliability Engineer to join their growing team.

The Maintenance & Reliability Engineer is responsible for developing, implementing, and improving maintenance strategies to ensure the reliability and efficiency of manufacturing processes and equipment. This role involves analyzing equipment performance, troubleshooting technical issues, and developing preventive and predictive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive maintenance programs, including preventive and predictive maintenance, to ensure optimal equipment performance and reliability.
  • Monitor and analyze equipment performance data to identify trends, root causes of failures, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Coordinate with operations and maintenance teams to prioritize and schedule maintenance activities to minimize downtime and disruptions.
  • Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) on equipment failures and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to design and implement equipment modifications and upgrades to improve reliability and safety.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records, including equipment history, work orders, and inspection reports.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in maintenance and reliability engineering in a chemical manufacturing plant.
  • Strong knowledge of maintenance best practices, including preventive and predictive maintenance techniques.
  • Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and maintenance planning software.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to conduct root cause analysis.
