Boomi L.P. Software System Senior Engineer - Conshohocken, Pennsylvania
POSITION:
Software System Senior Engineer
JOB DUTIES:
- Improve the scalability and reliability of Boomi's systems in production.
- Automate the provisioning and maintenance of Boomi's infrastructure.
- Detect, remediating, and report on production incidents to ensure service level agreements and objectives are met.
- Participate in on-call rotation for planned/unplanned events.
- Engage with other Engineering teams to implement processes and drive consistent results.
- Work with Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) and Engineering counterparts for Disaster Recovery exercises and response readiness efforts.
- Collaborate with Service Engineering teams to build and automate tooling and implement best practices on Observability.
- Work independently with minimal guidance from technical leadership.
- Telecommuting allowed from anywhere in the U.S.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Master's degree in Engineering Management, Computer Science, Digital Science, or related field and 2 years of experience in relevant roles OR Bachelor's degree in related field and 5 years of experience in relevant roles.
- 2 years of experience in:
1. Working on site reliability for large scale software systems in production.
2. Using services like EC2, ECS, EKS, Fargate, and RDS.
3. Automating tasks using Python, Ansible, cloud formation, and Terraform for IaC.
4. Defining, measuring, and improving Reliability Metrics using SLOs, SLIs, and Error budgets.
5. Implementing observability practices including monitoring, logging, and Distributed Tracing.
6. Conducting and automating DR exercises in AWS cloud.
7. Designing and implementing APIs for internal teams.
8. Alerting and dashboarding as code.
9. Using Amazon Systems Manager and Patch Manager.
OFFERED WAGE:
$164,800/year
