Patterson Auto Group has an immediate opening for an In-Training Client Advisor at our Mazda dealership in Huntington Beach, CA.

We're looking for an individual who feels passionate about customer service. Who wants to build long-term relationships with clients. And who believes that the automotive sales experience can and should be fun, transparent, and straight forward.

We welcome applicants with prior automotive sales experience, but we would also love to talk to you if you're currently involved in sales or customer service in other fields. We pay a guaranteed hourly base salary plus bonuses.

  6. Our client advisors are professionally trained to help the customer find the right vehicle, consult with customers on leasing and financing, and present solutions to protect their purchase.
Compensation Elements
  1. Client Advisors In Training Work a 4 Day Work Week and have 3 Consecutive Days Off to spend time with their families.
  2. Guaranteed base hourly pay above industry standard
  3. Additional bonus based on vehicle sales, customer experience ratings and finance sales
  4. We pay 75% of your base medical coverage (value of over $3000 / year)
  5. All of the following, paid at your effective rate - including bonuses earned in the prior 90 days:
    • Paid Vacation
    • 4 Paid Holidays Each Year
    • Paid sick days
    • 2 paid volunteer days each year
  6. Free basic life insurance.

What You'll Be Doing:
  1. Build relationships with customers from the moment they inquire with us
  2. Provide information on the vehicle, pricing and options - both online, on the phone, and in person
  3. Set showroom and test drive appointments
  4. Exhibit consultative selling skills. Assist customers in selecting a vehicle by asking questions and listening carefully to their responses
  5. Continuously develop product and sales acumen to become the vehicle authority. Know the ins and outs of products, packages, and the latest technologies
  6. Perform high-quality, professional demonstrations of vehicles and financial products
  7. Learn to overcome objections and thrive within sales situations
  8. Follow-up with buyers to ensure successful referral business and build customers for life

The Sales Representative (Retail/Fleet/Internet) Position has a Pay Scale consisting of the following elements and ranges. Wages include Base Hourly Compensation of between $16.00 and $15.50. The position may also pay commission compensation which is based on the value or amount of closed sales achieved from $0.00 (if no sales are made) without any upper limit other than sales performance. The position also may also pay a production bonus based on individual or team performance that may range from $0.00 (if baseline benchmarks are not met) without any fixed upper limit.
