Job Description:PURPOSE OF JOB :To perform all Housekeeping and Housekeeping related duties necessary to provide a safe, clean, and aesthetic environment for customers, visitors, and associates of Doylestown Hospital.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :Follows the 7 step cleaning process for all assigned areasRemoves & disposes of different waste streams according to hospital policy.Exhibits excellent customer service skills to enhance the patient & staff experienceIdentifies and reports broken or faulty equipment, safety hazards and patient safety risks.Actively participates in Departmental meetings, in-services, required training, competency assessment and takes corrective action to improve performance.Consistently follows Infection Prevention guidelines to minimize the risk of cross contamination and reduce the spread of infection.Job Qualifications: V. QUALIFICATIONS :Education: Able to read, write and communicate fluently in the English language.Experience: Environmental Services or other hospitality related experience preferred.Other Skills: Able to competently perform the following:Knowledge of cleaning methods, products, equipment and of waste disposal and soiled linen handling proceduresKnowledge of proper body mechanics
