JOB DESCRIPTION

The Buyer purchases the organizations required materials and services at the right price, from the right source, at the right specification to meet customer needs and delivery.

Essential Functions

  2. Orchestrate and manage service/materials delivery coordination
  3. Conduct purchase order processing through Service Now ticketing system
  4. Analyze, research, evaluate and manage various categories of spend with special focus on IT hardware and software
  5. Manage RFQs, RFIs, and RFPs
  6. Negotiate buying terms with suppliers, including pricing and delivery terms
  7. Resolve price, quality, delivery or invoice issues
  8. Conduct market research to identify new suppliers
  9. Forecasts the need for commodities, consumables, and assets to satisfy business needs.
  10. Supplier relationship management to include supplier reviews and non-compliance
  11. Reporting and analytics 11. Communicate with various internal stakeholders and suppliers

Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

This is largely a sedentary role; however, some standing may be required at times.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work vary Monday through Friday.

Required Education and Experience

  1. Two years degree in Business or Supply Chain Management or equivalent experience required.
  2. Proficient in MS Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word)

Preferred Education and Experience


1. Four year degree in Business or Supply Chain Management
2. Experience purchasing materials and services.

3. Experience negotiating pricing, quality, and delivery.

4. Experience reviewing invoicing for accuracy.

5. Experience issuing and reviewing RFQs, RFIs, and RFPs

6. Experience with Service Now ticketing system.
