The person in this position will ensure the community is maintained in a clean, safe, and comfortable manner. The person holding this position is delegated the responsibility for carrying out the assigned duties and responsibilities in accordance with current and existing federal and state regulations and established company policy and procedures.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Clean/polish furnishing, fixtures, ledges, room heating/cooling units, etc., in resident apartments and recreational areas daily as instructedClean, wash, sanitize, and/or polish bathroom fixturesClean windows/mirrors in resident rooms, recreational areas, bathrooms, and entrance/exit waysMaintain appearance of housekeeping areas in a safe, clean, and comfortable mannerPerform assigned day-to-day housekeeping functionsPerform specific tasks in accordance with daily work assignments and established housekeeping proceduresWork Environment:Works in all areas of the facilityMoves intermittently during working hoursIs subject to frequent interruptionsIs involved with residents, personnel, visitors, government agencies/personnel, etc., under all conditions and circumstances Is subject to hostile and emotionally upset residents, family members, etc Communicates with the medical staff, nursing staff, and other department supervisors Works beyond normal duty hours, on weekends, and in other positions temporarily, when necessaryIs subject to call back during emergency conditions (e.g., severe weather, evacuation, post-disaster, etc.)Attends and participates in continuing educational programsIs subject to injury from falls, burns from equipment, odors, etc., throughout the workday, as well as reactions from dust, disinfectants, tobacco smoke, and other air contaminants Is subject to exposure to infectious waste, diseases, conditions, etc., including TB and the AIDS and Hepatitis B virusesMay be subject to the handling of and exposure to hazardous chemicalsQualifications:One-year experience in a health care facility (preferred)Ability to pass a criminal background check as well as Colorado CAPS background check.
