GENERAL SUMMARY: Provide Quality Mental Health and Substance assessment evaluations, Group and Individual Therapy, and Coordination with other Community Providers and Client support network.

Schedule: Mon-Fri, First Shift

Location: Warwick, RI

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Provide mental health and substance abuse screening, assessment, orientation, treatment and follow-up services primarily within the agency, but also in other settings as needed.
  • Provide individual, couples, family or group counseling within the scope of one's competencies.
  • Provide crisis intervention.
  • Provide referral consultation and education to the community regarding issues of chemical dependency and mental health.
  • Provide chemical dependency and mental health consultation, education and training to agency personnel.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans and document services consistent with Center standards and/or insurance requirements.
  • Collaborate with other providers, agencies and individuals in the client's network of care.
  • Provide relapse prevention, discharge planning, follow-up and aftercare.
  • Provide education, training, and modeling in basic daily living skills, social or parenting skills.
  • Teach clients effective techniques for managing their medication as prescribed.
  • Coordinate services within the Center as needed.
  • Assist clients in developing and strengthening their support network to accomplish goals and objectives.
  • Produce, complete, and maintain billing forms, logs, data collection forms, clinical documentation and client records in accordance with Center standards and state and federal regulations.
  • Ensure clients have appropriate medical coverage at all time.
  • Schedule and maintain client hours sufficient to achieve individual / program billing targets.
  • Carry and enliven a positive Center image consistent with the Center's Guiding Principles, Code of Conduct and professional code of ethics.
Qualifications

Education, Experience and Competencies:

  • Master's Degree in Human Service or related field. Dually Licensed at an independent level is strongly preferred.
  • If not dually licensed, significant experience with co-occurring disorders will be considered.
  • Two years' experience in Human Service field preferred. Experience with short-term treatment preferred.

Certifications, Licenses Requirements:

  • Should possess valid Rhode Island state license or show evidence of working toward license for the discipline working in. Must apply for licensure, when applicable, and continue to maintain license for duration of employment.
  • Valid driver's license required or ability to obtain necessary transportation in order to perform the responsibilities/tasks of the job.
