Senior Buyer; Pharmacy; Mount Sinai Hospital; Full Time; Days Mount Sinai Morningside welcomes applications for the Senior Buyer role. Description The Senior Buyer negotiates contractual arrangements between Mount Sinai Medical Center and selected vendors, ensuring procurement of high?quality equipment, supplies, and other products at optimum cost. This includes preparing and evaluating bids, awarding contracts for large dollar relationships and purchases, developing RFOs for specialized purchase situations (e.g., service agreements, capital purchases), and utilizing PMM as the standard purchasing application. Responsibilities Maintain relationships with vendors to ensure procurement of high?quality equipment and products, expedient delivery, and reliable service at optimum prices. Analyze markets to determine vendor sources and product availability. Develop bids for products, services, and capital purchases in accordance with purchasing policies and conventions. Prepare solicitations, evaluate, negotiate, and award purchase contracts for supplies, equipment, and products within authorized purchasing limits; secure supervisory approval for purchases above those limits. Manage all aspects of the contract processincluding price, freight terms, payment terms, and rebates/credits. Utilize U.S. General Purchasing Office (GPO) contracts to achieve the best possible agreements and collaborate with user departments to achieve volume commitments and standardization compliance. Recommend changes in methods and procedures to improve procurement systems. Perform other related duties as required. Qualifications 3 years minimum purchasing experience (hospital experience preferred). Compensation Statement The salary range is $58,661.00 $81,675.00 annually. Actual salaries depend on factors such as experience, education, and operational need. The range does not include bonuses, incentives, or other compensation and benefits.
