Description of the Position: (Purpose of the Position):

The St. Olaf Admissions Fellow Program provides an opportunity to represent the St. Olaf student experience in a professional, personalized and enthusiastic manner. An Admissions Fellow is part of the team of students selected to present comprehensive and detailed knowledge about the college to visitors through tours and interviews, as well as assisting as lobby hosts and with other special projects as assigned.

This Fellowship also serves as a way to professionally develop for careers in Admissions, as well as how to apply those skills to any field. Duties and Responsibilities:

The Senior Admissions Fellow serves as the primary point of contact for guests attending Saturday tours. This role involves independently managing the office on weekends without support from the Operations team. During Saturday shifts, Senior Fellows greet numerous guests, guide them through their St. Olaf tour, and prepare materials for the upcoming week. Additionally, Senior Fellows are tasked with overseeing and managing higher-level projects beyond the weekend. They also support admissions officers by conducting interviews both on weekends and occasionally during the week. Due to these added responsibilities, this position represents the most senior student role within the admissions team.

•A strong sense of initiative, self-direction, and a high level of motivation.

•A commitment to positive and professional interactions with prospective students, families, and colleagues.
