Key Responsibilities: Technical Support and Quality Control: Technical Assistance: Provide technical support to project teams, ensuring all construction activities adhere to project plans, specifications, and industry standards. Assist in the preparation and review of project documents, including drawings, specifications, and submittals.

Quality Control: Implement and enforce quality control measures to ensure all work meets or exceeds project specifications and industry standards. Conduct regular site inspections to verify compliance with construction documents and quality requirements.

Project Coordination and Management: Project Planning: Assist with the development and maintenance of project schedules, ensuring timely completion of project milestones and final project delivery. Coordinate with project managers, superintendents, and subcontractors to ensure efficient and productive operations.

Issue Resolution: Identify and resolve any issues or conflicts that arise during construction, making informed and timely decisions to keep the project on track. Implement corrective actions and mitigation strategies to address any deviations from the project plan.

Safety and Compliance: Safety Management: Promote and enforce a strong safety culture on-site, ensuring all personnel adhere to company and OSHA safety guidelines. Conduct regular safety meetings, inspections, and audits to identify and mitigate potential hazards.

Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all construction activities comply with local, state, and federal regulations, including environmental standards and building codes. Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including permits, inspections, and safety records.

Communication and Collaboration: Stakeholder Communication: Serve as a liaison between project teams, clients, and stakeholders, providing regular updates on project status and addressing any concerns. Facilitate effective communication and coordination between all project parties to ensure alignment and successful project outcomes.

Team Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, superintendents, and other team members to ensure seamless project execution and delivery. Assist with the training and development of junior staff, promoting continuous improvement and professional growth.

Qualifications: Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in heavy civil construction, with a focus on dirt work, excavation, grading, paving, roadways, bridges, and highways. Proven track record of successfully supporting complex heavy civil construction projects.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. Advanced degrees or professional certifications (e.g., Engineer-in-Training - EIT) are a plus.

Skills: Extensive knowledge of heavy civil construction methods, materials, and equipment. Strong technical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze and interpret construction documents and specifications. Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, team members, and stakeholders. Proficiency in construction management software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam) and Microsoft Office Suite. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and accuracy.

Certifications: Professional certifications such as Engineer-in-Training (EIT) or Project Management Professional (PMP) are highly desirable. Additional certifications related to construction safety (e.g., OSHA 30-hour) are a plus.
