The ideal candidate will be experienced in working with children and adolescents with serious emotional and behavioral challenges in a structured or residential setting. Job Quick Facts • Ref#: BD-1015-02 • Profession: Physician • Specialty: Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist • Job Type: Contract • Location: Multiple counties, New York State • Coverage Type: Onsite (Telepsychiatry options may be available) • Service Setting: Residential / Outpatient / Inpatient • Facility Type: Adolescent Behavioral Health Centre • Shift Schedule: Monday Friday; part-time or full-time options available • Compensation: $225- $250 p/h Requirements: • Medical Degree (MD or DO) • Completion of a Psychiatry Residency and Child & Adolescent Fellowship • Board Certification in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry • Valid NY State Medical License and DEA registration • CPR/BLS certification (AHA-approved) • Familiarity with trauma-informed care and child development • Background clearance and drug screening required Responsibilities: • Evaluate and treat youth with emotional, developmental, and psychiatric needs • Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with care teams • Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications • Document treatment and progress using EMR systems • Provide consultation to staff and participate in multidisciplinary care planning • Participate in family engagement and therapeutic strategy discussions
