The Registered Nurse incorporates knowledge and understanding of our commitment to patient rights, our mission vision and values into nursing practice at Good Samaritan Medical Center.The Registered Nurse assumes full and ultimate responsibility for the quality of nursing care she/he provides to individuals and groups. Included in such responsibility is health maintenance, teaching, counseling, collaborative planning and restoration of optimal functioning and comfort or for the dignified death of those they serve. The Registered Nurse, within the parameters of his/her generic and continuing education experience, may delegate nursing acuities to other registered nurses and/or health care personnel, provided that the delegating Registered Nurse shall bear full and ultimate responsibility for the patient outcomes.The Registered Nurse must have excellent assessment skills, clinical skills, organizational skills, and computer knowledge and charge capabilities. The Registered Nurse must be able to lift, transfer and move patients. Must be able to communicate verbally and in writing in the English language. Able to complete mathematical computations required to perform treatment protocols.Education: BSN requiredExperience: 3 years critical care experience or completion of GSMC transition to Critical Care courseCertification/Licensure: MA RN license, BLS required, ACLS required, TCAR or TNCC required.Software/Hardware: MediTechAdditional InformationImportant COVID MessageThis position is subject to the COVID-19 Vaccination Policy for Steward Health Care Workforce. Our Safe and Ready program consists of a rigorous [five-point] standard ensuring patient safety, confidence and convenience: Expanded hours will allow previously cancelled procedures to be scheduled as quickly as possible. Any COVID-19 related care takes place in designated areas away from other patients and their families. Emergency Departments are reorganized to be a safe place to treat all emergency patients. A stringent cleaning policy has been implemented throughout the hospital. A strictly controlled visitor and masking policy is required for patient safety.
