Position Summary

In this position, you will provide technical leadership and direction to individuals responsible for IT Operations and Project functions supporting the Common/Critical Facilities infrastructure. The successful candidate must have abilities to quickly provide design recommendations, technical scope and technical documentation. Development of key technology roadmaps and maintain reliability portfolios.You will be accountable for fostering partnerships with internal Infrastructure teams, external IT teams and business clients for the development, enhancement, implementation and support of new and/or existing IT Infrastructure and related services.While the position will focus on IT Common/Critical Facilities, you should have general knowledge of the products and services associated with all the "Key Platforms" listed below and must also understand the end to end process for IT service delivery.

This position is hybrid, working from your remote office and your assigned work location based on business need. The assigned work location will be within the PG&E Service Territory and will be agreed upon by the successful candidate and hiring leader.

PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of thejob posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will bebased on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience,market value, geographic location, and internal equity.Although we estimatethe successful candidate hiredinto this rolewill beplaced between the entry point and the middle of the range, the decisionwill be made on a case-by-casebasis related tothese factors.This job is also eligible to participate inPG&E's discretionary incentive compensation programs.

Bay Area Minimum: $114,000

Bay Area Maximum: $182,000

CA minimum: $108,000

CA maximum: $173,000

Job Responsbilities:

• Accountable for creating comprehensive technology platform solution designs that meet PG&E business solution requirements on IT projects.
• Applies broad knowledge of IT standards, service offerings and operational options to develop an implementation approach of technology solution alternatives.
• Utilizes broad portfolio-building approach, subject matter expertise and communication skills to create and present innovative solutions based on requirements.
• Works on several key technologies across several disciplines.
• Will ensure that the physical design and configuration of the delivered solutions are in direct alignment with the logical design; may act as "lead/owner" in the solution design stage within their discipline.
• Participates with other technical teams in the exchange and transfer of technical knowledge, and in the development and evolution of IT standards, guidelines, solutions, planning and implementation
• Expected to promote the development and reuse of common solutions, components and services.
• Collaborate with other domain specific (application, infrastructure, or information) Engineers, Architects, Product Specialists, System Design Engineers and technologists to complete IT deliverables.
• Work with other engineers, architects and product specialists to ensure that the products and components work together to meet the objectives and performance goals as defined in the requirements.
• Serves as technical advocate and is the voice for IT on the implementation strategy designed to address client business problems.
• Responsible for the full lifecycle technical implementation, with SME participation in; solution evaluation and selection, buy vs. build decisions, business requirements impact analysis, refinement of early-phase project estimates which contribute to the business case, and implementation level design.
• Provides critical support function for Solution Engineering design decisions during plan, analyze, design, build, test, and deploy phases of IT projects

Qualifications:

Minimum:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent work experience
• Five years of experience with IT/Substation Design of Core and Edge power Infrastructure, AC/DC Power Systems, Remote Terminal Unit, Building facilities

Desired:

• M.S./M.B.A. degree or equivalent work experience in computer science, business administration, engineering or related discipline with an information technology focus
• Able to organize workload to perform assigned responsibilities within established time frames; work off hours to support operations and meet project deadlines
• An excellent verbal and written communicator
• A detail-oriented, able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work collaboratively with peers, clients, system users and other technical colleagues is required
• Ability to drive change and accountability is required
• Strong customer service orientation to ensure that all requests and problems are resolved in a professional manner is required
• Experience in developing solution blue prints and designs for implementation in to annual project portfolios
• Working with product vendors to ensure PG&E is gaining the best support and service based on contracts.
• Experience in the Utility industry telecommunications and business
• Proficient in conceptualizing creative solutions, as well as documenting them andpresenting/selling them to senior management
• Knowledge of line of business/industry being supported required (i.e., Gas, Electric, Energy Supply, Contact Center, etc.)
• Ability to estimate the financial impact of IT decisions
• Provide financial guidance and risk assessments. Ability in identifying complex problems; reason logically; draw valid conclusions and take appropriate action
