As an Estimator, you will play a pivotal role in the project lifecycle by providing accurate and detailed cost estimates for residential construction projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with architects, designers, and project managers to understand project requirements and objectives.
  • Conduct thorough material take-offs and labor assessments to develop comprehensive cost estimates.
  • Analyze project specifications, drawings, and blueprints to identify potential cost-saving opportunities and value engineering solutions.
  • Utilize industry-standard estimating software and tools to generate accurate estimates.
  • Research and negotiate pricing with suppliers, subcontractors, and vendors to secure competitive bids.
  • Prepare detailed proposals and bid packages for client review and approval.
  • Track and monitor project costs throughout the construction process, providing regular updates to stakeholders as needed.
  • Continuously evaluate and refine estimating processes to improve accuracy and efficiency.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.
  • Proven experience as an estimator in the residential construction or homebuilding industry.
  • Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and building codes.
  • Proficiency in construction estimating software (e.g., Procore, PlanSwift, Bluebeam).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a meticulous attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing project requirements and deadlines.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
