We are seeking an experienced Cleared Facility Security Officer (FSO) with government clearance. The FSO will ensure compliance with federal security regulations and internal security policies, protect sensitive information, and maintain the overall security posture of the facility. Requirements

Security Management:

  • Oversee all compliance: export control (transfer of sensitive information/ITAR), document control, and FSO activities
  • Develop, implement, and manage the facility's security program in compliance with federal regulations, including the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM), NIST SP 800-53, and other relevant guidelines.
  • Conduct regular security assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and implement corrective actions.
  • Oversee physical security measures, fingerprinting, including access control systems, surveillance equipment, and security personnel.
Clearance Management:
  • Manage and process security clearances and personnel security investigations, including maintaining up-to-date records and handling security clearance applications and renewals.
  • Coordinate with government agencies and security clearance providers to ensure compliance with clearance requirements and resolve any issues.
Incident Response:
  • Develop and maintain incident response procedures for security breaches, including reporting, investigation, and documentation.
  • Respond to and manage security incidents, ensuring timely resolution and reporting to appropriate authorities.
Training and Awareness:
  • Conduct security training and awareness programs for employees to ensure understanding of security policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Provide guidance and support to staff regarding security-related matters and ensure compliance with security protocols.
Documentation and Reporting:
  • Maintain accurate and detailed security documentation, including security policies, procedures, and incident reports.
  • Prepare and submit required security reports and documentation to government agencies and internal stakeholders.
  • Provide security indoctrinations, debriefings, and annual refresher trainings.
  • Process, update and maintain subcontract DD254's, submit and maintain SCI, SAP and CPRL nomination packages and billet rosters.
  • Provide onsite security support activities in the areas of Program, Personnel, Physical, COMSEC and Information Security
  • Manage COMSEC duties & responses.
  • IDS monitoring and response.
  • Assist with administration of Insider Threat Program.
  • Provide travel safety information and report foreign travel through government systems.
Regulatory Compliance:
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local security regulations and guidelines.
  • Stay informed about changes in security regulations and industry best practices, and update security policies and procedures accordingly.
Collaboration and Coordination:
  • Work closely with other departments, including IT, HR, and management, to address security concerns and integrate security measures into business operations.
  • Coordinate with law enforcement and other external agencies as needed for security-related matters.
Qualifications:
  • Security Clearance: Must possess and maintain a secret to start and can upgrade to Top Secret security clearance.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Security Management, Criminal Justice, or a related field preferred. Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Protection Professional (CPP), Physical Security Professional (PSP)) are a plus.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in facility security management, and information security with a strong background in managing security clearances and compliance with federal security regulations.
  • Knowledge: In-depth understanding of security regulations, including NISPOM, NIST SP 800-53, and other relevant guidelines. Familiarity with security technologies and access control systems.
  • Skills: Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
  • Abilities: Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion. Proven ability to respond to and manage security incidents in a calm and effective manner.
Working Conditions:
  • This position may require occasional travel and the ability to work outside regular business hours as needed.
  • The FSO will be required to work on-site at the facility and interact with various departments and external agencies.
