The Department of Astrophysical Sciences is seeking a Data Science Algorithm Engineer to work on developing pipelines and algorithms for survey science projects. The role involves software development for reduction, analysis, interpretation, and testing of photometric and spectroscopic data from large surveys, including the Rubin Observatory Legacy Survey, the NAOJ Hyper Suprime Cam, the Subaru Prime Focus Spectrograph, and WFIRST.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong research record, software development experience in Python and/or C++, and a background in astronomy and large data set analysis. An undergraduate degree in Astronomy, Physics, Computer Science, or a related field is required.
