We are currently seeking to add a Project Accountant to our dynamic team in Richland, Washington.

$24 to $34 hourly, full-time with benefits, in-office

From project set up to preparing final invoice packages, the Project Accountant works closely with our Project Managers. You will be expected to employ great organizational skills, the ability to juggle multiple requests, the ability to meet deadlines, and the ability to work well both independently and as part of a team. The ideal candidate has a positive attitude, thinks strategically, exemplifies precise attention to detail, and has excellent interpersonal and communication skills. In addition, the successful candidate will possess the independence to complete tasks and projects quickly, react with appropriate urgency to situations requiring quick turnaround, and take effective action with or without direction.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years direct professional experience, or a bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.
  • Ability to manage time effectively while employing solid organizational skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines while remaining professional, responsive, and cooperative.
  • Outstanding problem-solving skills, with the ability to exercise sound judgment.
  • Strong organizational, multi-tasking, time-management, and prioritizing skills and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer service focus and a positive attitude
Desirable Qualifications
  • Experience within the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) industry a plus.
  • Experience with database management
PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Work in our accounting software to set up new projects.
  • Maintain project related records, including contract and change orders
  • Assist with review of project revenue
  • Prepare final invoice package for all billable projects
  • Monitor aged receivables and support project managers with collections
  • Provide administrative backup support
  • Special projects as requested
