Responsibilities POSITION SUMMARY: Staff Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) is responsible for evaluation/assessment, planning, educating, and providing habilitative or rehabilitative services for persons who have or are suspected of having speech, voice, language, oral pharyngeal function, developmental, or cognitive disorders. Some travel may be required in the provision of services between facilities and job functions. This position summary contains the most relevant duties, responsibilities and does not exclude other assignments not mentioned. Qualifications QUALIFICATIONS: Must have and maintain current certification. Must be able to travel between STHS facilities as needed. Membership in a professional organization preferred. Must demonstrate commitment and adherence to STHS's Compliance Program and Code of Conduct through compliance with all policies and procedures, the Code of Conduct, attendance at required training, and immediately reporting suspected compliance issue(s) to the Compliance Officer. EDUCATION / LICENSURE: Masters degree in Speech Language Pathology. Must have and maintain current BCLS certification, according to unit specific needs. Certification must be in accordance with the curriculum of the AHA, for Healthcare Provider's Program. ASHA certificate of clinical competence. Licensure in the State of Texas as Speech Language Pathologist. Clinical experience preferred.
