Description

Position Overview:

We are seeking a proactive and customer-focused individual to join our Technical Operations department as a Help Desk Resource. The ideal Systems Engineer will provide technical support and assistance to internal staff, ensuring smooth operations of IT systems and applications. This position is suitable for individuals with 3-5 years of relevant experience in IT support. This position is located onsite in Wadsworth Ohio.

Key Responsibilities:
Serve as the first point of contact for technical support inquiries via phone, email, or in-person, and provide timely resolution or escalation of issues.
Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network problems related to desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers, and peripherals.
Assist users with account setup, password resets, and access permissions for various systems including Microsoft and Google suites.
Perform software installations, updates, and configurations as needed, ensuring compatibility and compliance with company policies.
Document and maintain accurate records of support tickets, including details of issues reported, troubleshooting steps taken, and resolutions provided.
Collaborate with other IT teams to escalate complex issues and follow up on problem resolution to ensure timely resolution and customer satisfaction.
Contribute to the development and maintenance of IT documentation, knowledge base articles, and standard operating procedures.
Stay informed about emerging technologies, trends, and best practices in IT support to continuously improve skills and knowledge.
Participate in departmental meetings, projects, and initiatives as assigned by the manager.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field preferred.
Previous experience in a help desk or technical support role is advantageous.
Familiarity with Microsoft Office 365, Google Workspace (formerly G Suite), and other productivity tools.
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with users at all levels of the organization.
Customer-focused attitude with a commitment to providing high-quality service and support.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and collaborate effectively within a team environment.
Flexibility to work occasional evenings, weekends, or on-call shifts as needed to support business operations.
