The Department of Biology in the College of Arts & Sciences at the University of South Dakota seeks an organized, proactive, and customer-focused team member to fill the role of Program Assistant to provide comprehensive and largely independent program support for the Biology department. This is a full-time, 12-month, benefits-eligible position.
Start date: as soon as possible
Duties and responsibilities:
This position will provide administrative support for the Biology department, in the areas of HR/payroll, finance/accounting, academic program support, and general office management, and will work closely with the Dean's office, the USD Foundation, and Grants Accounting as well as regular contact with students, faculty, post-docs, and other support staff. Applicants with broad administrative and bookkeeping experience, and who enjoy working with people in an academic office environment, are encouraged to apply.
